If you think A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle is phenomenal, read The Power of Now. I've been staying up the last 2 nights reading til 2am. Its truly eye opening and reaffirms so much that I already know to be true. With so many insightful nuggets, I've been highlighting this book like crazy. Here are a few....

pg. 30 - "Real love doesn't make you suffer."
pg. 35 - "Make the Now the primary focus of your life." "Surrender to what is." Say "yes" to life- and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you."
pg. 37 - "Pain can only feed on pain...pain cannot feed on joy.

I just started chapter 5. More to come...

I also found both books to be inspirational. They were among my summer reading books for this hiatus period and I couldn't have picked a better time to read them. On the surface, this world of ours-- this earth-- seems to be percolated in such heavy delusion. It is in need of so much light. I found both books reminded me to feel, act, and believe from my light within (which is who/what I always believed I really am-- light instead of this heavy, tangible body). Every moment in life is another chance to attain pure Joy! With that knowledge, it is hard to NOT be hopeful.

Sharing just 2 of the many nuggets I found below:

- "All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness. The mind then gives form to the creative impulse or insight." (pgs. 19-20, The Power of Now)

- "Peace, after all, is the end of the ego . . . How to be at peace now? By making peace with the present moment. The present moment is the field on which the game of life happens. It cannot happen anywhere else." (pg. 115, A New Earth)
