Detoxing and Going Green!!
Tomorrow morning I start a 7-Day Detox. Did I just say the word "detox"? I found it online at goop.com (Gwyneth Paltrows website). I've been wanting to try a detox for years, but juicing green veggies for days on end seemed...well...frankly....gross. But when Gwyneth listed salmon and a chicken breast as entrees, I was hooked! So I'm going to take the next 7 days to re-connect with myself and listen to God's voice. Here's to clear skin and a cleansed soul! Heres to you - Detox!!!
p.s. Confession: I ate meat lasagna and tiramisu as my last meal. It was good, but now I feel the need to purge like a model the night before the big photo shoot.

No TV This Weekend!!
My brand new TV (pictured above) died. I think I got a lemon. I've only had the TV for 2 months. Thankfully it's under warranty. So now I'm forced to read a book, read a magazine, browse the Internet, or watch DVDs on my laptop - all great options. At first I was disappointed. But now I'm truly enjoying the quiet time. It's nice to hear your thoughts without the sound of TV flooding your mind. Is this what people did before TV? Maybe God is trying to tell me to chill out and be still. So here begins my weekend without TV. Thank God the repairman comes on Monday.

Life Always Lives!
Last weekend, while watering the plants on my balcony, I noticed a green blade of grass at the bottom of a rose bush that was dying. I was surprised!! But it all makes sense...Life (positivity) Always Fights to Live, even when negativity surrounds it. So basically, in the midst of darkness there is always light. Shine on!! (And don't worry, I'm working hard to revive the rose bushes. They were given to me with lots of love. And they are so beautiful when they bloom.)

24 Hours Left in 2008!
So here's a photo from Times Square in NYC! I love NY, especially during the holidays! Luckily, I crossed this madness off of my "List of Things To Do Before I Turn 30" years ago.
I've been off of work for the last week and a half. And I've spent many days reflecting on my life (nothing too deep), but it's nice to reflect on where we've been, where we are in the present, and where we'd like to go. Maybe I get this way because not only is it a new year, but my birthday comes 10 days later.
I must admit that this reflection process has been a bit difficult. Some days are easier than others. I find myself thinking a lot about my personal choices. But in these last 24 hours I must remind myself of a thing or two. I believe that when we make choices and do things at the most honest and pure level of our soul, then we can't regret those decisions. And if it doesn't work out the way we wanted, its not a mistake - it's simply an experience.
So here's to the last 24 hours of 2008!!! I lived, I loved, and I'm still learning!
